I went to Ocean Park this past weekend when it was 93 degrees at its highest and I got a terrible sunburn on both of my arms. I looked like I had lobster arms by the end of the night because they were so red. But here’s what I did before I got sunburned!
We took the cable car to the part of the park that has all the rides, and let me say that at Ocean Park they try to get you to spend money at every place possible. Just before going on the cable car they insisted us take a group picture and rushed everyone like a herd of sheep in line. Once we got off the cable car, the photo booth already had our picture developed on every kind of merchandise you can think of. How crazy efficient is that?
It was crazy hot so the first ride we went was something similar to the Grizzly River Run at California Adventures. Too bad it wasn’t as exciting as I thought compared to the one in California. It was still a great way to cool down. Then we went to see some penguins and arctic foxes and it was super cold inside!
After taking the submarine train back down to where most of the animal exhibits are, we went to see pandas and other animals.
The rest of the day was just more walking around and gift shop browsing, nothing much to do since we were pretty exhausted just from walking under the heat and sun.
And that’s a wrap!
