Stonehenge – Wiltshire

Today’s plan is go see the Stonehenge! Apparently, this trip is going to take about half a day since the Stonehenge is about 1.5 hour drive from the Victoria Coach Station and back, while we are allowed about 1.5 hour at the site to wander.

After we got our tickets at the coach station, we had some time to burn and get some food before we hopped on the bus.

Turns out that there weren’t enough people to fit a full coach bus so all of us fit inside a mini coach instead.

The ride was about 1.5 hours and we had a fun driver who told us stories and history of London on the way to the Stonehenge. The driver did warn us about the cold temperature there but I didn’t think it would be that bad till I got there. I was probably shivering half the time but it was totally worth it.

We had to get on a bus to get us to the actual Stonehenge when we got to the visitor center.

Stonehenge was much smaller than I expected and we spent the time walking around the field and taking selfies haha (taking selfies with the Stonehenge was harder than I thought too, trying to fit my face and all the rocks in the frame). It was getting quite chilly and we headed back to the visitor center a little early before we hopped back to the bus. The ride back was a little longer because of traffic but it was enjoyable because our driver was very engaging in telling us stories and answering our questions.

We got dinner at Nando’s and our friends recommended the PERi-PERi sauce. I like spicy food and I usually could stand the spiciness but for some reason I was crying while eating halfway because of the sauce but it was so good.
